Obituary of Marsha Elaine Shaw

Marsha Elaine Shaw, 73, of LaGrange, ME went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2024. She passed away peacefully in her home, in the presence of her family.

Marsha was born in West Chester, PA to Marshall and Katherine Getchell on September 12, 1950. She grew up in Boothwyn, PA and graduated from Charles E. Ellis School for Girls in 1969. Marsha played the flute in the Chichester Band and also sang first soprano in a twelve person ensemble as a teenager. She often shared fond memories of summers spent at Crystal Beach in Earleville, MD with her family when she was a child.

Marsha attended Delaware Technical College from 1969-1971. She became a devoted Christian on November 19, 1972 while working at the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, IL. It was there that Marsha met the love of her life, Ronald Shaw, whom she married on November 15, 1985.

Marsha enjoyed helping others which was evident in her career choice as a CNA. She had a passion for giving gifts with spiritual meaning. She placed importance upon giving to numerous ministries and charities, particularly those that are focused on fighting for the unborn. Marsha loved to travel, taking trips to PA with Ron and she often attended Christian women's retreats.

Marsha is survived by her husband and many friends and family members whom she touched with her unbounding love and kindness. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, as well as her five unborn children whom she very much looked forward to meeting one day in Heaven.

A memorial servcie will be held 11am Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Charleston Church, 185 Main Rd, Charleston, ME. Marsha would have asked that any donations in her memory be made to any preferred Pro-Life charity.
