Jeffrey Crandall

Obituary of Jeffrey Allen Crandall

Jeffrey Allen Crandall was born June 17, 1961 in Lincoln, ME to Betty and Jim Crandall, both deceased. He graduated from Greenville High and Job Corps., crewed on the Katahdin, and excelled in care-giving, and customer service at Bangor's True Value. Jeff was a big man with a large persona, an open heart and, often, a top hat. He loved impersonations ("Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!"), antiques, retro TV, local and family history, his trip to the UK, his home on Walter Street, and conversation about them all. He advocated for gay rights, played the carillon for the UU Church, and was a long-time, active member of NOE. Uncle Jeff died peacefully on October 21, 2020, and is survived by several cousins and their families, his sister Leah (Nancy), his brother-in-law Burc, and his beloved niece Lily Demet.
