Obituary of Estelle Elaine Burleigh
Estelle Burleigh, 75, passed away on June 21, 2026. She was born on September 30, 1950, to Carlton and Barbara Kidney.
Estelle spent much of her life caring for others. She stayed home to raise her daughter and later cared for her parents as they grew older. She loved to knit and especially enjoyed making things for babies and giving handmade gifts to others. She also loved to cook and often shared what she made with friends and neighbors in her apartment building.
Estelle is survived by her daughter, Lisa Gillo; her grandchildren, Christopher Gillo, Chelsea Hotham, Charity McFarlin, and Chauntelle Gillo; eight great-grandchildren, with a ninth great-grandchild born shortly after her passing; and friends and neighbors who knew and cared for her. She was predeceased by her parents, Carlton and Barbara Kidney, and her sister, Sheila Berry. Estelle will be remembered for the many ways she cared for the people around her, whether through a home-cooked meal, something lovingly made by hand, or simply being there for her family.
