Eddington - Dennis G. Soucy, 77, of Eddington passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at Northern Lights EMMC in Bangor after battling a long, hard illness. He was born August 3, 1941 in Springfield, MA to Frank D. Soucy and Margaret Soucy. He was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Frank A. Soucy as well as his parents. Dennis attended Springfield Trade High School before becoming a United States Marine. He spent many years working in manufacturing trades. Dennis enjoyed collecting stamps, model cars, eagles, train sets and anything Yoda. His biggest passion was fishing. Dennis is survived by his children: Dennis Soucy Jr., Wendy Beach, Penny Gustafson and husband Scott of Massachusetts, Christopher Michaud of Lewiston, Kay Doucette and husband Cory of Eddington and three special grandchildren: Schuyler Doucette, Bryton Doucette and Jenavieve Doucette, of Eddington. He is also survived by his sister, Cathleen Boone of North Carolina and special friend, Sue Corson of Hampden. Dennis treasured his time with his family and fought numerous hard battles to be with them. His kind spirit and remarkable sense of humor will surely be missed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Northern Lights EMMC, St. Joseph’s Home Care, New England Life Care and Cancer Care of Maine for their many years of care and support. Dennis was very fond of many of you and for that, we’re forever grateful. In lieu of flowers and in celebration of Dennis’ life, the family is asking that donations in his name be made to organizations that support cancer care and research.
