Jeff will be remembered fondly by our members at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor.. As mentioned in his beautifully written obituary, Jeff played the bells for many years. Regardless of the weather, he climbed the stairs to the unheated attic and into the bell tower. Those bells knew how much Jeff loved them. They peeled out his notes for all of downtown Bangor to enjoy. As a gay rights activist, Jeff fought for equality.. He was an icon in downtown Bangor, with his top hat and walking stick. Jeff was his own man and will be missed.
